Originally from the Chicagoland area, Gary brings 25 plus years of hospitality experience to the LM group. Prior to joining LM, Gary had worked at local brands like Marriott, The Palmer House Hilton, Smith & Wollensky, The Capital Grille, and The Metropolitan Club. He also draws from many years of international experience working all over the world with Norwegian Cruise Lines. Gary loves that every day is different in hospitality. He has excelled at building successful beverage programs and enjoys teaching and passing on his knowledge as he has learned and continues to grow through the Court of Master Sommeliers.
When not working Gary loves to watch his hometown Cubs and Bears as well as Bayern Munich soccer, travel, cook, spend time with family and friends, and dogsled with his Siberian Huskies.

Chef de Cuisine
David’s love for cooking began in his mom’s kitchen as a child. It was there that he learned and began to fully understand and appreciate the importance of showing love through a great dish.
At the age of 15 David’s formal culinary career began and he started working part time as a dishwasher. As years went by, his cooking and passion for the hospitality industry grew and he rose through the ranks, eventually landing as the Executive Chef of a small restaurant in Humboldt Park.
In late 2013, he decided to focus on opening his own restaurant along with his older brother. After constructing a solid business plan, in 2014 Whisk Chicago came about and his dreams of becoming a restaurateur became a reality. Fast forward to 2019 and David became a partner for a hospitality group that focused on consulting, concept development, and training. He went on to work in concepts all over the city including Lincoln Park, Logan Square, and Lakeview.
David wants to be an example that no matter where you start, with great attitude and strong effort you can accomplish greater things. He believes that everyone deserves good food!
